- S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows (SKRoofing.com)
announced today the kick-off of their 4th annual
Holiday Food Drive to benefit the Maryland Food Bank
(MDFoodBank.org)
and thousands of Marylanders in need of food
assistance every year.
Building a Strong and Healthy
Community
Last year S&K collected more than
1,000 lbs. of non-perishable food and non-food
items. The goal this year is to collect 1,500 lbs.
"It gives us great satisfaction to be able to
involve our customers, suppliers and employees in
this event", stated Charlie McCurry, S&K Director of
Sales and food drive organizer. "With the help of
the local community, which is where the credit truly
goes, we are able to help those who are a little
less fortunate."
In addition to collecting and
donating food, S&K will match each pound of food
collected with a $1 donation.
Canned and non-perishable food, as well as non-food
items can be donated at a drop box located in S&K's
showroom at 5399 Enterprise Street in Eldersburg now
through December 19, 2007. Most needed food items
include canned meat, peanut butter, macaroni and
cheese, oatmeal, cereal, pasta, canned fruits and
vegetables, and soup. Non-food items needed include
diapers, toilet paper, feminine hygiene items, and
plastic/paper plates and cups. For more information
