–Additional $1200 Donation Made During Holiday Drive —
ELDERSBURG, MD. January 20, 2015 – S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows (www.SKRoofing.com) announced the results of their 2014 food drive for Carroll County Food Sunday (www.ccfoodsunday.org). S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows collected and donated food and other non-perishable household items to CCFS throughout the year, resulting in over 1 ton of donation. Additionally, during the holiday season, S&K matches every pound donated with a $1 monetary donation, resulting this year in an additional $1200 donated.

“As a community based organization, we are proud of the work that the kind people at Carroll County Food Sunday do all year long.” said S&K sales director Charlie McCurry. “We are honored to be one of their partners, and to serve as a year-round drop location. 2014 was a great year for us, and we were happy to help give back through CCFS.”
S&K will continue serving as a drop off location for CCFS again in 2015. The community is encouraged to drop off food and non-perishable items at any time throughout the year at S&K’s showroom at 5399 Enterprise Street in Eldersburg.

Carroll County Food Sunday was started in 1982 by Dominic Jolie who stated, “For the sake of human decency, feeding the poor and the hungry people of Carroll County must be a concern for all of us who are not hungry.” The CCFS operating budget is supported by community fundraisers and direct mail solicitation of county residents. The Carroll County Government provides donated warehouse space in Westminster and utilities. Carroll County Food Sunday is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of representatives of all sectors of the community.
