Each year, the Carroll County times sponsors Carroll’s Best, an awarded given to outstanding businesses in Carroll County, Maryland. Residents are asked to visit the Carroll County Times website and vote for their favorite local businesses. The awards cover businesses large and small, from coffee houses to car care to home services.
This year, S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows was voted #1 in the Best Roofing Contractor category. We are grateful to those who voted, and will continue to work hard to earn this status.

Well this winter sure has been one for the ages! There aren’t many winters that we can remember that have held us up from doing what we do best – roofing and exterior home improvements. This one, however, has had its challenges. Extreme low temperatures, ice and snow have worked hand-in-hand this winter to keep our crews inside on several days. Not only are the roof conditions a safety issue for our roofers, but extremely low temperatures are not conducive to the proper installation of asphalt shingle roofing.
