S&K Roofing, Siding and Windows (www.SKRoofing.com) announced today that it will be wrapping up its annual holiday food drive with a very special guest. Santa will be visiting the S&K showroom on Saturday, December 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for photos. Guests can bring their kids, a can of food (or more!) and their camera for this free event. S&K will provide the guest of honor and holiday refreshments.
For the past decade, S&K has held an annual food drive to benefit Maryland families in need. Now a year-round drop location for Carroll County Food Sunday, S&K matches each pound of food collected during the holiday season with a $1 monetary donation. Donations can be dropped off at 5399 Enterprise Street in Eldersburg, Maryland any time.
“What better way to mark 10 years of food drive events than a visit from the big guy himself?” said S&K sales director Charlie McCurry. “We’re very excited that Santa has agreed to join us. We look forward to making this our best food drive ever, and having the community come out for a morning of holiday fun on December 13th.”
The community is encouraged to drop off food and non-perishable items now through December 19th. Guests attending the pictures with Santa event are encouraged to bring a food donation as well.

Carroll County Food Sunday was started in 1982 by Dominic Jolie who stated, “For the sake of human decency, feeding the poor and the hungry people of Carroll County must be a concern for all of us who are not hungry.” The CCFS operating budget is supported by community fundraisers and direct mail solicitation of county residents. The Carroll County Government provides donated warehouse space in Westminster and utilities. Carroll County Food Sunday is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors comprised of representatives of all sectors of the community.
